Masking tape or small magnets
-
Double-sided automotive-grade tape
-
Optional: Old emblems (if reusing)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Prepare the Surface
-
Clean the area where the emblems will be installed.
-
Ensure the surface is free of dust, dirt, and grease.
-
Use 70% IPA and a clean microfiber cloth to wipe the car body panel area thoroughly.
-
If using 99% IPA, mix it with water to achieve a 70% concentration.
2. Secure the Template
-
Use masking tape or small magnets to hold the emblem fixture/template in place.
-
Make sure it’s properly aligned before continuing.
3. Prepare the Emblems
-
If reusing old emblems, remove any old adhesive residue.
-
Clean the backside of each emblem using IPA.
-
Apply fresh double-sided tape to the back of the emblems.
4. Install the Emblems
-
Carefully place each emblem into its designated slot on the fixture.
-
The emblems should slide in easily.
-
⚠️ Do not force them into place.
5. Apply Pressure
-
Press gently on each emblem to ensure the tape fully contacts the surface.
6. Finalize Installation
-
Remove the masking tape or magnets holding the fixture/template.
-
Allow the double-sided tape to settle and bond—follow the manufacturer’s recommended time for best results.
